Ally Omari
Ally Omari was born in Dar Es Salaam in 1956. His mother comes from Makua and his father from Mngoni tribe. His painting beginning goes back to his seventeen years when he was being taught by the Tingatinga artist Rashidi Milanzi. Ally Omari has developed his own painting style that is full of living colours and offers a high technical quality. He is a member of CTAPS (The Craft and Tingatinga Arts Promotion Society) which represents the second most important Tingatinga artist association in Dar Es Salaam.
